Schools and educators

Professional learning, student programs and tools for learning, from cognitive scientists who study how learning lasts.

Learning science, from the people who study it.

Schools are being asked to make sense of AI while still doing everything else. Underneath the new tools sit old questions.

How do students learn something so it lasts?

How do they learn to think well, not just answer well?

Cognitive science has strong answers to both, and too few of them reach the classroom.

What we bring to schools.

The same three kinds of work we do everywhere, weighted toward where learning happens.

  1. Professional learning for staff and leaders

    Training

Hands-on sessions on the science of learning: retrieval practice, spacing, and the illusions that make easy learning feel effective. Alongside it, using AI in ways that support learning rather than shortcut it. For leaders and boards, help working out what good AI use looks like in your school, in line with the Australian Framework for Generative AI in Schools.

  2. Programs for students, designed and tested

    Research and evaluation

Thinking and reasoning workshops, career decision skills grounded in decision science rather than “follow your passion”, and measurement that shows whether a program changed anything.

    Research and evaluation
  3. Tools for learning

    Workflow automation

Purpose-built activity sites, practice tools and assistants, built around your curriculum and your students.
